Do You Know Your Doctor?

Why would anyone not check out their doctor? Are we too trusting these days to believe people are who they say they are? You or your child is going under the knife for major surgery, wouldn't you like to know that the Doctor is properly licensed and authorized to practice medicine and perform surgery? - I would!. For less than thirty dollars, a person can get a Physician Snapshot Background Check and Medical Fraud Report. The news has reported many instances of unlicensed doctors practicing medicine and even death has occurred from it. America will check out a Plumber more thoroughly than they will a Medical Professional. The psychiatrist that sees your teenage daughter twice a week for an hour behind closed doors could have a criminal or sex offender past and no one would know it. When in doubt check'em out!. Are you scared yet?. I hope so because that was the idea. You or your familys life may depend on it. What about the nursing home that you just paid thousands of dollars to put a family member in? Does the facility have a past problem of abuse, neglect or even death?. A background medical screening check of the facility would find those problems.

We now find that Dr. Robert Jarvik was found not to have the credentials advertised. The New York Times reported that the ads misrepresented Dr. Jarvik and his credentials. Although he has a medical degree, Dr. Jarvik is not a cardiologist and is not licensed to practice medicine. Under criticism that its ads are misleading, Pfizer said Monday it would cancel a long-running advertising campaign using the artificial heart pioneer Dr. Robert Jarvik as a spokesman for its cholesterol drug Lipitor.

Pfizer is a billion dollar company and has spent more than $258 million on the Lipitor ads and did so without checking Jarviks' credentials. Why would they put themselves at risk? Who knows. But now the product will most likely lose credibility and I would expect the sales to even go down. But that is just my personal opinion on the outcome of this new found information.

You can run our Physician Snapshot profile report for $9.95 and our professional license verification report is only $14.95 - what is your peace of mind worth?.

Do You Really Know Who You Are Hiring?

Why would any employer hire someone these days without doing a complete background check? I'll tell you why - they are either too cheap to pay for it or they don't want to take 10 minutes out of their day to do it!. Yet, these are the same employers that act suprised when they find out the employee, youth worker, pastor, doctor, etc...stole from them, molested one of their kids, sexually harassed an associate or killed someone. With 89% of people lying on their resumes, it makes good business sense to do a criminal background check, employment verification and an education verification.

We have seen high profile coaches and CEO's caught years later for lying about their education. Every other week, we see the news breaking a story where a service business such as carpet cleaners, alarm installers, or plumbers went into a victims home and stole from them or sexually harrassed them. Just recently a Pastor in Jacksonville Florida was caught for sending explicit sexual text messages to girls under the age of 16 and he had behavior issues from a prior church in Texas. We also find out that a YMCA counselor was charged with touching young girls under the age of 9. I ask again, "Do You Know Who Your Hiring?"

For less than thirty dollars per employee, an employer can protect their time and investment. You can't put a price on peace of mind in these tough economic times. Business is hard enough without having to worry about rogue or bad employees and business partners. I challenge employers to spend a little bit of time and money to not only protect themselves but society as well.

Ben Franklin stated "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest"
